Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008

Registration - Register of financial service providers - Register established

28: Annual confirmation

You could also call this:

“You must tell the Registrar about your money business every year”

Every year, you need to send the Registrar information about your financial service provider business. This is called an annual confirmation. You must send it by a specific date.

The annual confirmation needs to include a few things. You might need to fill out a form if the Registrar asks for one. You may also need to pay a fee and a levy. You need to confirm that you’re allowed to be a financial service provider. You also need to include any other information or documents that are required.

If you don’t send your annual confirmation on time, the Registrar might think you’re not providing financial services anymore. If this happens, they might take steps to remove you from the register.
