194ETransmission of performers’ property rights
A performer’s property rights are transmissible, as personal or moveable property, by—
- assignment; or
- testamentary disposition; or
- operation of law.
Transmission of a performer’s property rights may be partial, that is, limited so as to apply—
- to 1 or more, but not all, of the things the person entitled to exercise the performer’s property rights has the right to do:
- to part, but not the whole, of the period for which the performer’s property rights are to exist.
If a performer’s property rights become exercisable by more than 1 person, the rights are not exercisable independently and must be exercised by all rights holders acting together.
