226JOffence of dealing in work subject to CMI interference

  1. A person (A) who contravenes section 226H commits an offence if—

  2. A knows that the copyright management information has been removed or modified without the authority of the copyright owner or exclusive licensee; and
    1. A knows that dealing in the work will induce, enable, facilitate, or conceal an infringement of the copyright in the work.
      1. A person who commits an offence under subsection (1) is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $150,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both.
