Building Societies Act 1965

Register of building societies

121G: Obtaining certified copy or extract from register

You could also call this:

“Getting official copies of building society records”

You can ask the Registrar to give you or certify certain documents about building societies. If there’s a fee, you need to pay it first. You can ask for a certificate that shows a building society is incorporated, a copy or part of a registered document, or details about a registered document that are stored in a computer system.

If someone wants to make the court force the Registrar to show a registered document or prove that information about a registered document is in a computer system, they need to get permission from the court first. If the court says it’s okay, the document that orders the Registrar to show these things must say that the court allowed it.
