Building Societies Act 1965

Miscellaneous provisions

138: Filing of rules of existing societies with District Registrars of Companies

You could also call this:

"Sending society rules to local company offices"

After this law starts, the Registrar must send a copy of the rules for every existing society to a nearby District Registrar of Companies. They might send it to a different District Registrar if the society agrees.

The Registrar can ask each society to give them up to two copies of their rules to help with this task.

If a society doesn't give the Registrar the copies when asked, they're breaking the law. This applies to the society itself and any of its officers who didn't follow the rule.
