Name of society
22Society to use registered name
A society shall not use any name or title other than its registered name: provided that the Registrar may from time to time, by writing, authorise any society to use for any specified purpose or purposes any abbreviation of that name approved by him or her in that behalf.
If any society contravenes the provisions of subsection (1), the society, and every director of the society who is a party to the contravention, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20 and, if the offence is a continuing one, to a further fine not exceeding $20 for every day during which the offence has continued.
