Building Societies Act 1965

Management and administration - Directors and other officers

88: Notice of changes in holding of certain offices

You could also call this:

“Telling officials when important people join or leave a building society”

When someone becomes or stops being a director, manager, or secretary of a building society, the society needs to tell the Registrar about it. They have to do this within one month of the change happening.

The society must give the Registrar some information about the person. This includes their full name, address, and what job they started or finished.

If the society doesn’t tell the Registrar about these changes, they’re breaking the law. The society and any of its officers who didn’t follow this rule can get in trouble.
