Building Societies Act 1965

Schedule 1AA: Transitional, savings, and related provisions

You could also call this:

"Rules for how building societies share information about their money"

This schedule outlines provisions for annual returns of building societies. It applies to financial years that end on or after the date this clause came into effect, as well as any financial years that start after this date.

The changes to annual returns were made by sections 5 and 6 of the Regulatory Systems (Commercial Matters) Amendment Act 2017. These changes affect how building societies report their financial affairs.

If a financial year started before this clause came into effect but ends after it, the new rules still apply. This means that even if a financial year was already underway when the changes were made, the society must follow the new rules for that year's annual return.
