10Application of other enactments

  1. Except as otherwise specified in this Act,—

  2. any person performing a function or exercising a power under this Act must comply with any other legislation that applies to that function or power; and
    1. the requirement to obtain a permit under this Act does not limit or otherwise affect the requirement to obtain a permit, consent, or other permission necessary under any other legislation.
      1. Nothing in this Act (except subpart 1 of Part 2) limits or otherwise affects the ability of an applicant group to obtain recognition of protected customary rights or customary marine title under the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011.
