55Infringement offences

  1. A person must not—

  2. undertake a prohibited activity within a seafloor protection area contrary to section 17 or 18; or
    1. undertake a prohibited activity within a high protection area contrary to section 21; or
      1. use, dispose of, or be in possession of, any fish, aquatic life, seaweed, or natural material that has been removed from a protected area in contravention of section 17, 18, or 21.
        1. A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an infringement offence and is liable to—

        2. an infringement fee of the amount prescribed in the regulations; or
          1. a fine imposed by a court not exceeding the amount prescribed in the regulations.
