7Extraordinary vacancies
Any member of the Authority may at any time be removed from office by the Governor-General for inability to perform the functions of the office, bankruptcy, neglect of duty, or misconduct, proved to the satisfaction of the Governor-General.
Any member of the Authority may at any time resign his office by giving written notice to that effect to the Minister.
If any member of the Authority dies, or resigns, or is removed from office, the vacancy thereby created shall be deemed to be an extraordinary vacancy.
An extraordinary vacancy shall be filled by the appointment of a member by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
Every person appointed to fill an extraordinary vacancy shall be appointed for the residue of the term for which the vacating member was appointed.
The powers of the Authority shall not be affected by one vacancy in its membership.
