Illustration for Remuneration Authority Act 1977

When the Authority makes a decision about someone's pay, they tell that person and the person who pays them. They also tell others who have a direct interest in the decision, as decided by the Authority. The Authority gives the Minister copies of all their decisions made under certain sections of the law, such as section 12(1)(a) and section 12B. The Authority shares some of their decisions with the Government Statistician so they can publish statistics under the Data and Statistics Act 2022. The Authority does not usually make their decisions public, except as allowed by this Act.
