When you give evidence or make submissions by audiovisual link from Australia, the courtroom in New Zealand and the place in Australia must have special facilities. These facilities must let you see and hear the person in Australia from the New Zealand courtroom. They must also let the person in Australia see and hear you in the New Zealand courtroom. You can find more information about this by looking at the Trans-Tasman Proceedings Act 2010. This law says that evidence given by audiovisual link from Australia must meet certain conditions. The facilities used must enable two-way communication between the New Zealand courtroom and the place in Australia.
