If an Australian court asks, an officer of a New Zealand court can help. You can think of a court officer like a person who assists the judge in a court. The officer can go to a place in New Zealand where someone is giving evidence, being examined, or making submissions to the Australian court by audio link or audiovisual link. The officer can do what the Australian court tells them to make the court process work smoothly. The officer can also help the Australian court when someone needs to take an oath or make an affirmation, which is a promise to tell the truth.
