When you have a product stewardship scheme accredited, it will expire on a certain date. This date is either the one specified in the scheme or 7 years after the Minister is notified under section 15(4).

If you have an existing scheme, its accreditation will keep going if you apply for a new scheme to replace it before the expiry date. You must apply at least 6 months before it expires.

Your old scheme will stay accredited until the new one is approved or the Minister declines your application under section 15.
