If you are a member of the Waste Advisory Board, you hold office for 3 years, or a shorter time if it is stated in your appointment notice. You keep being a member even after your term ends until someone else is appointed to take your place. You also stop being a member if the Minister tells you in writing that you are not being reappointed and no one else is being appointed at that time.

If you want to stop being a member of the Board, you can resign by giving the Minister written notice. The Minister is the person who makes decisions about who is on the Board. When you are appointed to the Board, you get a notice that tells you how long you will be a member.

You can be a member of the Board for a few years, and then you might be reappointed or someone else might take your place.
