If you are a member of the Waste Advisory Board, you are entitled to be paid fees. The Minister sets the rate of these fees, following a set of rules called the fees framework. You are also entitled to be reimbursed for expenses like travel, as long as they are reasonable and related to your work on the Board, and this is also covered by the fees framework.

The fees framework is explained in section 10 of the Crown Entities Act 2004. This means that the rules about fees and expenses for the Waste Advisory Board are the same as those for other similar groups.

You can get paid for your work on the Board and have your expenses covered, as long as you follow the rules set out in the fees framework.
