55Notice while serving overseas, etc

  1. Notwithstanding subsection (3) of section 52, but without limiting section 53 or section 54, if a member of the regular forces who is serving overseas, or who is under less than 3 months’ notice to serve overseas, gives notice under section 52, that member’s period of service shall not be deemed to have been completed until he or she has completed that overseas duty.
