Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

Supply of services - Provisions relating to cancellation

35: Application of right to cancel contract

You could also call this:

“When you buy something with a small service included, you can't cancel just the service part”

You can’t cancel a contract for a service under this law if the service is just a small part of getting goods, and you already have or had the right to reject those goods under section 18. This means if you’re mostly buying something, and the service that comes with it isn’t the main thing you’re paying for, you can’t use this law to cancel the service part if you could have just said no to the goods in the first place.
