57Notification of controls

  1. The Minister of Conservation must notify in the Gazette any controls imposed under section 56.

  2. The notice must set out—

  3. the name and contact details of the relevant protected customary rights group; and
    1. a description of the extent of the protected customary rights area that is subject to the controls; and
      1. a description of the protected customary right that is subject to the controls; and
        1. a description of the controls, including any standards, terms, conditions, or restrictions, to be applied and the reasons for the controls; and
          1. the date on which the controls take effect (which must be as soon as is reasonably practicable after the date of the notice).
            1. The Minister of Conservation must, as soon as practicable after giving notice, provide a copy of the notice to—

            2. the protected customary rights group to which the notice applies; and
              1. the Minister of Māori Affairs; and
                1. the local authorities that have statutory functions in, or relating to, the protected customary rights area; and
                  1. the chief executive.
                    1. Controls take effect on the date stated in the Gazette notice.
