If you make submissions or give information to the Board, you must be told about certain matters after a hearing, as stated in section 50(1)(a) to (c). This also applies if you appear and make oral submissions, as referred to in section 50A(2)(b). You will be advised of the matters, but the Board may not tell you about a particular condition if it would interfere with someone else's privacy.

When the Board tells you about any release conditions, they might leave out some information to protect someone else's privacy. The Board will advise you of the matters, but they have to balance this with the need to keep some information private. 50BDecisions to be notified to certain victims

  1. The following persons must, after the hearing concerned, be advised of the matters in section 50(1)(a) to (c):

  2. a person who, by writing to the Board, makes submissions or gives relevant information as referred to in section 50A(2)(a):
      1. a person who appears and makes oral submissions as referred to in section 50A(2)(b).
        1. When advising a person under this section of any release conditions, the Board may withhold advice of a particular condition if disclosing the condition would unduly interfere with the privacy of any other person (other than the offender).
