51Date of release
This section applies to an offender who is serving a sentence of imprisonment in a prison.
An offender who is due to be released at his or her statutory release date must be released from the prison on that date, unless he or she is released earlier under section 52.
An offender who has been directed by the Board to be released on parole or compassionate release
must be released from the prison on the date specified by the Board.
