Equal Pay Act 1972

Matters relating to equal pay claims

9: Court may state principles for implementation of equal pay

You could also call this:

"Courts can set rules to help people get paid fairly at work"

The court can decide on its own or when asked by a group of employers or employees to state the general principles for achieving equal pay in employment agreements. This helps guide people when they are negotiating employment agreements. You can think of these principles as a set of rules to make sure everyone gets paid fairly.
