Equal Pay Act 1972

Pay equity claims - Raising pay equity claims

13H: Requirements for claim raised by individual employee

You could also call this:

"What you need to include when making a pay claim as an individual employee"

When you raise a pay equity claim as an individual employee, your claim must state your name and address. You must also include the date you made the claim and your occupation and position. If someone is acting on your behalf, you need to provide their name and address, and you can find more information about this in sections 18(3) and 236(3) of the Employment Relations Act 2000.

Your claim must describe the work you do, including any information about your work that is prescribed by regulations. You must explain why you think you have a valid pay equity claim and provide evidence to support this. This evidence is what you use to prove your claim is valid.
