66D: Bond of 1 week’s rent or less
or “If you pay a small bond for your boarding house room, the landlord must give you a receipt and return your money when you leave, unless you owe them something.”

You could also call this:

“The landlord pays for shared costs, while you pay for what you use in your own room.”

The landlord is responsible for paying all costs related to the boarding house. This includes costs that happen even when no one is living there, costs for shared areas, and costs for rooms that more than one tenant uses.

The landlord must pay for things like general rates (a type of tax) and insurance for the boarding house.

If you’re a tenant and you have a room all to yourself, you need to pay for costs that are just for your room. This means you pay for your own electricity and gas if they are measured separately for your room. You also pay for your own telephone and Internet in your room.

If the landlord gives you extra services that aren’t part of your rent, they must give you a list each week. This list will show what services you got and how much you need to pay for them.
