Weights and Measures Act 1987

Administration - Accredited persons

30I: Powers of inspection

You could also call this:

“What inspectors can do to check if you're following the rules about weights and measures”

If you are an accredited person, an Inspector can check if you are following the rules set out in the Weights and Measures Act. The Inspector can ask you to show them any weights, measures, or weighing or measuring tools you have. They can look at these items and test them. The Inspector can also ask to see any documents you have and make copies of them. They might ask you for more information or details, and you need to provide these within a reasonable time.

If you don’t do what the Inspector asks, you might lose your accreditation. This means you could be removed from the list of accredited people. The Secretary is the person who can make this decision.
