41BRegulations relating to infringement fees
The Governor-General may, by Order in Council made on the recommendation of the Minister, make regulations for the following purposes:
- prescribing the form of infringement notices and reminder notices:
- prescribing any particulars that must be included in those notices:
- prescribing the amount of an infringement fee, which must not exceed $2,000, payable in respect of an infringement offence for which an infringement notice has been issued.
Regulations under this section are secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).
