Weights and Measures Act 1987

Miscellaneous provisions

39: Restoration of articles seized

You could also call this:

"Getting your seized stuff back if you think it's fair"

If someone takes your weights, measures, weighing or measuring tools, or goods because they think they might not be right, you can ask a judge to give them back to you. You need to go to the District Court and explain why you should get your things back. The judge will listen to what you say and decide if it's fair to return your stuff. They will try to do what they think is right and helpful. This only applies to things that were taken under a specific part of the law called section 28(6).
