Weights and Measures Act 1987

Administration - Accredited persons

30J: Application of certain Acts to accredited persons

You could also call this:

“Accredited people are not government employees”

If you become an accredited person under section 30A, this doesn’t mean you work for the government. You won’t be considered a public servant under the Public Service Act 2020. You also won’t be able to join the Government Superannuation Fund under the Government Superannuation Fund Act 1956. This is just because you’re accredited - it doesn’t change your employment status.
