When the Minister makes a decision about an advisory committee, they must tell the House of Representatives. The Minister has to do this as soon as possible after making the decision. You can find out what kinds of decisions the Minister has to tell the House of Representatives about in section 34(1), section 34(2), section 35(1)(e), and section 33(1)(b).

The advisory committee has to give the Minister a report every year, by 30 June. The report must say how the committee is doing its job and what kinds of decisions the ethics committee made that year.

The Minister must then give this report to the House of Representatives as soon as possible after getting it from the advisory committee.
