The Director-General of Health can approve standards for fertility services during a special time called the interim period. You will know which standards are approved because they will be described by name in a written notice. The Director-General of Health can also change or cancel these notices.

When the Director-General of Health makes a new notice, or changes or cancels an old one, it will start to apply 28 days after it is published in the Gazette. The Gazette is an official publication where the government announces important decisions and notices.

Any notice that is made, or changed, during the interim period will stop applying when the interim period ends, unless it is cancelled sooner.
