When you want to do an assisted reproductive procedure or human reproductive research, you need to apply to the ethics committee. You must write your application in a form that the ethics committee approves. Your application must describe what you want to do, say why you want to do it, and name the person in charge.

If the ethics committee does not have guidelines for what you want to do, they will not approve your application. They will send your application to the advisory committee instead. The ethics committee can look at your application again if they get new information that is relevant to your case.

The ethics committee can change their mind about your application if they get new information. This means they can approve your application even if they said no before. You just need to give them new information that is relevant to your application.
