Freedom Camping Act 2011

Where freedom camping permitted - Freedom camping on conservation land

19: Director-General to exercise powers as if Act specified in Schedule 1 of Conservation Act 1987

You could also call this:

“The Director-General can use special rules for freedom camping”

The Director-General has special powers under this part of the law. These powers must be used as if the Freedom Camping Act 2011 was listed in Schedule 1 of the Conservation Act 1987. This means the Director-General needs to follow the rules set out in the Conservation Act when using these powers for freedom camping matters. It’s like the Freedom Camping Act is part of a list of important nature protection laws, even though it’s not actually on that list.
