Freedom Camping Act 2011

Enforcement, miscellaneous, and transitional provisions - Enforcement officers

36: Enforcement officers may require certain persons to leave local authority area, conservation land, or LINZ land

You could also call this:

“Officers can ask you to leave if they think you're breaking camping rules”

If an enforcement officer thinks you might be breaking the law or have already broken it, they can tell you to leave the area. This applies to local authority areas, conservation land, or LINZ land. The officer needs to have good reasons to believe you’ve done something wrong before they can ask you to leave.
