Enforcement, miscellaneous, and transitional provisions - Offences, defences, and penalties - Infringement offences

20A: Infringement offences relating to conservation land

You could also call this:

“Rules and fines for camping on protected nature areas”

You can get in trouble if you break the rules about freedom camping on conservation land. These rules say you can’t camp where it’s not allowed. If you’re camping in a vehicle, you need to show a special card. You must be careful not to damage the land, plants, animals, or any structures. You can’t leave rubbish lying around - you need to use the right bins. You also can’t start setting up camp where it’s not allowed. If a person in charge tells you to leave, you must go. If you don’t follow these rules, you might have to pay a fine.
