Dog Control Act 1996

Custody of dogs

72A: Power of dog control officer or dog ranger to seize released dog

You could also call this:

"When can dog control officers take a dog that was released incorrectly?"

If you are a dog control officer or dog ranger, you can seize a dog that was released or taken without following the rules in section 72. You can do this if the dog was let out or taken in a way that breaks the rules. You get to keep the dog until you are sure that all the rules about taking the dog in the first place have been followed.
