Dog Control Act 1996

Miscellaneous provisions

75: Disability assist dogs

You could also call this:

"Dogs that help people with disabilities are allowed in public places and some buildings."

If you have a disability assist dog, it can go with you into certain places. Your dog can enter premises registered under section 120 of the Health Act 1956 and public places. You can also take your dog into these places if you are training it to assist someone with a disability. When you take your dog into these places, you must follow any reasonable rules the person in charge of the place gives you. This means that even if there are rules that normally do not allow dogs in these places, your disability assist dog is allowed to enter.
