Dog Control Act 1996

Miscellaneous provisions

74: Limitation of liability for damage

You could also call this:

"People doing their job under the Dog Control Act can't be sued for damage they cause."

If you own a dog, you should know that some people, like dog control officers or police, might need to take action to enforce the Dog Control Act 1996. You won't be able to sue these people for any loss or damage to your dog or property if they are just doing their job properly. This means they won't be liable for any damage that happens when they are following the rules of the Act.
