When you are getting help for a severe substance addiction, the doctor in charge of your care must check on your condition regularly. They do this by examining you and talking to other health professionals who are helping you. The doctor uses the information from these checks to decide if your treatment plan needs to be changed.

The doctor must look at your treatment plan after each check and make any changes they think are necessary. This helps make sure you are getting the best care possible. You can expect the doctor to keep checking on your condition and updating your treatment plan as needed.
