97Advice and assistance of general nature

  1. So far as practicable, the Area Director or an authorised officer acting with the authority of the Area Director must act as a ready point of contact for anyone in the community who has any worry or concern about any aspect of this Act, or about services available for those who are or may be suffering from a severe substance addiction and, at the request of anyone, they must provide the assistance, advice, and reassurance that are appropriate in the circumstances.
