When you are assigned a doctor to help you with your substance addiction, they must do a few things. They have to make a plan to help you get better as soon as possible, and no later than seven days after your treatment papers are signed. Your doctor also has to arrange for you to go to a treatment centre, which is explained in section 30. Your doctor must apply to the court to check if you still need to be in compulsory treatment, following the rules in subpart 6. This helps make sure you get the right help and support to overcome your addiction.
