40Return of patient

  1. If a patient is absent without leave from the treatment centre in which he or she is required to be detained, or is absent from that treatment centre after a period of leave ends, an authorised officer may take all reasonable steps to take the patient back to the treatment centre, including calling for Police assistance under section 105 if necessary.
