57Redemption price
The redemption price of any pawned goods is—
- the amount of money advanced on the goods; plus
- the redemption fee payable by the pledger on redemption of the goods.
A pawnbroker may charge only a redemption fee, and not any other fee or charge (however described), as part of the redemption price of pawned goods.
A pawnbroker may advance only money, and not any other thing, on a pledge.
