Illustration for Senior Courts Act 2016

The Registrar has powers and duties given by the Senior Courts Act 2016, other laws, or rules made under section 148. You need to know these powers help the Court of Appeal work efficiently. The Registrar's duties also include things that are necessary for the Court's business to run smoothly. A Deputy Registrar has the same duties and powers as the Registrar. This means they can do the same job as the Registrar. Their powers are given by the Senior Courts Act 2016, other laws, or rules made under section 148. However, there might be rules made under section 148 or other laws that say something different about a Deputy Registrar's powers.
