When you look at the register of limited partnerships, you will see certain information about each partnership. This information includes the partnership's name, registration date, and registration number. You will also see the address of the partnership's registered office.

You can find out the full name and address of every general partner who is a natural person. If a general partner is not a natural person, you can find their name and address. The register also includes the date and place of birth of general partners who are natural persons.

Some information in the register, like the date and place of birth of general partners, cannot be searched by just anyone under section 64, except by the Registrar. The register of overseas limited partnerships has similar information, including the name and registration number of the partnership. You can also find the name and address of each general partner and the address of the partnership's registered office overseas.

57Contents of registers

  1. The register of limited partnerships must contain, in respect of each limited partnership, the following information:

    1. the date of its registration:
      1. its registration number:
        1. the address of its registered office:
          1. the full name and residential address of—
            1. every general partner who is a natural person; and
              1. every general partner's director, partner, or general partner who is a natural person:
              2. the name and address of every general partner who is not a natural person:
                1. the date and place of birth of—
                  1. every general partner who is a natural person; and
                    1. every general partner's director, partner, or general partner who is a natural person:
                    2. the full name, residential address, and date and place of birth of every limited partner who is a natural person:
                      1. the name and address of every limited partner who is not a natural person:
                        1. its address for service:
                          1. any other prescribed information.

                            1. The information in subsection (1)(f), (g), and (ga) must not be able to be searched under section 64 except by the Registrar.
