You can search a register for different reasons. You can search for information about yourself, or someone can search for you if you give them permission. You can also search to find out if a business is a limited partnership or an overseas limited partnership.

You can search to find the address of a limited partnership's or an overseas limited partnership's place of business. You can also search to find out if someone is a general partner of a limited partnership or an overseas limited partnership.

You can search to find out if the Registrar has inserted a note of warning about a limited partnership, or to help the Registrar, courts, or others do their jobs under this Act or other laws, such as the Limited Partnerships Amendment Act 2014.
