You can change the address of a limited partnership's office. The people in charge, called general partners, can do this at any time, as long as they follow the partnership agreement and some rules. They have to tell the Registrar about the change using a special form.

You need to give the Registrar notice of the change, and the change will happen on a date you choose, but it must be at least 5 working days after the Registrar gets the notice. This is so everyone has time to update their records.

The Registrar is an important person who keeps track of all the limited partnerships in New Zealand, and you can find more information about how this works by looking at s 187.
