If you are a general partner in a limited partnership, you must tell the Registrar about any changes to the partnership's details. You need to use the correct form when notifying the Registrar. You have to do this within 10 working days of the change happening.

If you do not tell the Registrar about the changes, you can get in trouble. You might have to pay a fine of up to $10,000 if you are found guilty. This is because you have broken the law by not following the rules.

You can find more information about the rules you have to follow by looking at the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, which changed some of the laws on 1 July 2013.
