"The Commissioner helps government agencies work well together on workforce matters."

The Commissioner may provide advice and guidance on workforce matters to certain agencies, as described in section 97(4), and consider drafting a government workforce policy for ministerial approval.

The Commissioner can also advise agencies on how a Government Workforce Policy Statement works. This means the Commissioner helps agencies understand what they need to do. The Commissioner can facilitate the operation of a Government Workforce Policy Statement, which means they help make sure it works smoothly with the agencies involved.

The Commissioner has a few main jobs, including providing advice, considering new policies, and helping agencies work together.
