People working in public service - Public service workforce - Pay equity claims

84: Delegation of Commissioner’s functions and powers to negotiate pay equity claim

You could also call this:

"The boss of the public service can pass some jobs to other leaders to help fix unfair pay problems."

The Commissioner can give some of their jobs and powers to a chief executive of a department or to a board of an interdepartmental venture, under clause 6 of Schedule 3. This means the chief executive or board can help negotiate a pay equity claim. The Commissioner can also say that the chief executive or board must work with other chief executives or boards when negotiating a pay equity claim. The Commissioner can add other conditions to the jobs and powers they give to the chief executive or board. You can find more information about this in section 81 and section 83.
